Why I'm Running:

As parents, we are engaged in the process of raising human beings. There is no greater partner in this endeavor than an informed and involved teacher and by extension, our school system. This is why I support the district’s Diversity, Inclusion and Equity work to provide all of our learners with the tools, resources, and opportunities necessary to succeed in a 21st century workforce and global community.

I believe that children tend to do well when they can. They can only do so when their individual needs are being met. I will work to strengthen academic standards while ensuring equal access for students with unmet needs. As a member of the School Board I believe that I can act as a voice for those students and their families. With greater transparency and accountability more children will be better able to achieve equity with their peers.

I believe my experience running a small business will benefit the district and taxpayer alike as we tackle budgetary issues in a responsible and collaborative fashion. I pledge to be a thoughtful steward of our tax dollars while continuing to support Nyack’s renowned arts, sports, and extracurricular activities.
